A short path from thought to image

From page to point in three moves.

1

Freeze the tab

Use your assigned Chrome shortcut or click Start annotating. FastMarkup captures the visible part of the current tab.

2

Mark it up

Draw with pen, arrows, shapes, text, highlight, or numbered callouts. Undo and redo as you go.

3

Copy the image

Press Ctrl+C or Cmd+C for a PNG, or download it. The toolbar stays out of the exported image.

Want one-key access? Assign Alt+Shift+A to Freeze and mark the visible tab at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Chrome may require you to clear the same keys from Activate the extension.

Made for quick visual feedback

Enough tools to say it clearly.

→

Point, circle, explain

Pen, arrows, rectangles, ellipses, and text make a screenshot easier to act on.

▰

Keep the context visible

Highlight without covering the page. Add numbered callouts when several details need attention.

↶

Change your mind

Eraser, undo, redo, six colors, and stroke widths help you refine a note before sharing it.

↓

Keep a PNG

Copy to the clipboard or download a full-resolution PNG of the captured viewport.

Your image stays yours

Capture locally. Share on your terms.

What may come next

Built around the fast path.

A prerelease implementation includes editable annotations, local project history, and review notes. It is not validated or on sale. Hosted screenshot storage is only a possible later roadmap item. There is no Pro launch date or price. The current free capture tools remain the starting point.

Good to know

Questions before you start.

Is FastMarkup on the Chrome Web Store?

Not yet. The v1.0.0 package has a draft listing. Submission, review, and publication are still pending. This website has no install link until the Store listing is live.

Does it capture a full scrolling page?

No. FastMarkup captures the visible area of the tab. Full-page capture is not part of this release.

Where do my screenshots go?

They stay in your browser while you annotate. Copying puts a PNG on your clipboard; downloading saves a PNG where Chrome places downloads. FastMarkup does not upload either image.

Why does the shortcut open the popup?

Chrome has separate shortcuts for activating an extension and running its capture command. Assign your keys to Freeze and mark the visible tab in Chrome’s extension shortcut settings. Clear a conflicting assignment on Activate the extension.

Does it work on every page?

Chrome blocks extension injection on internal pages such as chrome:// URLs. Use FastMarkup on a normal webpage. Compatibility across sites, zoom levels, and displays still needs final live verification.
